Thoughts on Limite

Watching Limite was quite an experience. I don't think I have ever seen a film without any sound at all before. At times I was imagining sounds in my head to accompany the images, but I let the images take over. What really stood out for me were the camera movements and composition. There were so many shots of feet and hands and hair and the camera movements were really interesting and original. There were some shots in the film that stood out like the negative exposures and shots of nature and the sea. I didn't really understand the story, but I don't think that really matters. This film was like visual poetry and I was very impressed with it.
