Land in Anguish

I recall that fella who came in and talked with Gabe about this movie and its director that he saw a lot of influence on or from Werner Herzog. And I'd say that other than the histrionic acting, nothing else connected the two. Even then, I'd restrict that kind of acting for only the movies, and even only the characters that Kinski plays, other than that, I didn't see the link he has observed. I was wondering if anyone else had an opinion or insight on the subject...
